Welcome to Happy House!

About Us

The Happy House program is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping grade-school children build strong character by teaching core values such as honesty, responsibility, respect, and caring. The name "Happy House" reflects the program's core aim: to foster a joyful, healthy environment where children can grow and thrive by learning how to make good choices. Just as a home is a place of safety, comfort, and development, Happy House creates a nurturing space where children can learn valuable life skills that guide them toward making thoughtful, responsible decisions.

Through the Good Choices booklet, children are introduced to 21 key principles that help shape their behavior and character. These principles include:

Honesty:

Encouraging truthfulness in words and actions.

Responsibility:

Teaching children to take ownership of their choices and actions.

Respect:

Promoting kindness and fairness toward others.

Building Strong Character:

Fostering personal growth and integrity.

Understanding Consequences:

Helping children recognize the impact their actions have on themselves and others.

Evaluating Right from Wrong:

Helping children develop the ability to make ethical decisions.

Industriousness:

Encouraging a strong work ethic and perseverance.

Caring:

Fostering empathy and consideration for others.

The Golden Rule:

Teaching children to treat others the way they want to be treated.

Helping Their Parents:

Encouraging children to actively participate in household responsibilities and support their parents through acts of kindness, such as helping with chores or assisting with amily tasks.

Cleanliness:

Teaching children to take care of their bodies and spaces by keeping them clean, organized, and well-maintained.

By learning these simple yet powerful precepts, children learn how to create their own opportunities for growth, friendship, and success. These core values provide the foundation for a positive future where children are empowered to make choices that lead to a fulfilling and meaningful life.
